What Causes Pain In Hips After Getting A Shot Via Spinal Block?

I had a shot via spinal block 6 days ago, and was advised to put ice packs on my back (L4-L5) 3 -4 times a day, which I have done so..However, I had PT before I had the injection and the PT s did heat on my back. Should the PT had done cool packs instead of heat? Also, my doctor has stopped therapy for a couple of wks. I am doing considerably better, however, occasionally I have a pain in my hip (like something is sticking in me, and I do have occasional calf cramps. Is this still normal, and how long should I expect this discomfort?

it can be due to deep muscle spam in back which commonly occur after spinal block. hence they advice PT after it. occasionally it get better by its own and need less intervention later. it cramps continue and pain is still there after few weeks visit your orthopediacian or PT again for few sessions. get your back muscle relaxed and you will be free from pain.
