Hi, I ve had accident when skiing about 8 years ago and my knee is hurting me ever since. It doesnt hurt constantly, a few years ago it was hurting only when I was sitting for long periods of time(almost as if it was stucked) but now it s hurting when I walk for too long or I work a long shift, I also live in third floor so it s very hard for me to walk upstairs and carry my 1 year old as well. Is there a clear answer to that or should I go to see doctor? Thak you
As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan to rule out tendon or ligament injury.
