What Causes Pain In Left Ear?

Good Morning Doc My son (7 Years Old) everytime complains of having pain in his left ear. Earlier i.e 8 months back we observed swelling with pus in his right ear & showed him to an ENT specialist. We even got his CT Scan (for suspected mastoid) done but it was quite normal. Got it cured through medicines itself. What could be the possible problem.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
HI,
Welcome to HCM,
your son could be having Adenoiditis ( common at this age ) that is inflammation of adenoid glands which are present in nasopharynx , our ears are connected to nasopharynx through a tube called eustachian tube, so infection from nasopharynx can spread to ears, causes ear pain, blockage...
precautions to avoid this chain:
1. avoid refrigerated foods, ice creams..
2. As soon as kid get cold take proper treatment..

but nothing to worry as child grows older say around 11 yrs ...this problem 'll solve ...
