What Causes Pain In Left Side And Vomiting After Having Alcohol?

Hi doctor, On and off I ve been getting sharp pains on the left side of my body. These are extremely sore often resulting in me vomiting. The common thing when I get these pains is eating and drinking alcohol. Last night I drank scotch and cola, and for some reason I m pin pointing cola as the issue, Could this be possible? I m 37 and male, no other health issues.

Hi welcome to HCM...

Yes it can be possible ....

Alcohol drinking can lead to gastritis like condition and resulting vomiting ....

Limit alcohol drinking or better to stop it for few days ....

Meanwhile drink more water ...

Avoid any excess spicy and non veg foods .

Small meal taken with frequent and interval....

Avoid smoking ...

Non veg foods avoided ...

Take rabeprazole plus domperidone combination drug for fast improvement...

If condition worsen than USG , x ray or endoscopy like further investigation needed ....

Take care

Advise : gastroenterologist consultation...
