What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Abdomen And Difficulty In Bowel Movement?

I have pain on my left front side that is tender when I push and feels like gas pain. However, I have had this all day and it seems to be getting worse. I am not sure if I have a mild fever but have been hot and cold today. I also have difficulty going to the bathroom (stool only) but it appears soft. Thank you for any help you can give me - Mary Kisting

Pain in the left side is caracteristic of the irritable bowel sindrome, but this is not just an "one day" sindrome. You should get your temperature first because even diverticulitis may be on question. If this continues going like this you are candidate for a sigmoidoscopi.
