What Causes Pain In Left Side Of The Body?

I, Julia L. Turner, a 67 year old senior taking care of my sister who is 6 feet tall has ALS immobile waist down. I have been transferring her from bed to potty, from potty chair to the bed, and from the bed to the wheel chair. I have developed this pain in my left side, what could it be?

as I can figure it out here, you have a problem of left side body ache.
Here a I need further details into the nature, onset( gradual, or acute, continuous or episodic), aggravating factors and how does pain subsides, etc, such information regarding pain.
there are multiple causes for such pain. In your case a possible muscular sprain or even a minor problem in spine is likely from the history provided.
I suggest an MRI spine investigation and detailed information to above.
