I have a strange feeling in my throat. Down lower than my Adams apple. It feels like flapping or something. It s almost painful but more annoying than it is painful. Do you know what this could be? I recently had strep throat, but I took penicillin and have long finished it.
Step throat usually improves the next day after treatment or even without treatment it will heal by itself and no longer will have symptoms - so I do not think this is a symptom related with strep throat. Please can you try to touch that area on the neck, do you have pain? if so you need to be checked at the specialist, since there is the thyroid or other structures like cysts etc. If you feel it inside the throat(discomfort -but no difficulty while swallowing, mild fever ), most probable it is a viral sore which is not visible by looking the back of the throat. If you have other sores in the mouth, or this sore hurts for more than 10 days or often you have sores you need to be checked by your family doctor. Thank you.
