I have terrible pain in my right knee at night when I have to get up at night or in the mornings. It feels like it wants to give way. After being up 20 or 30 minutes it becomes bearable. I am a large man and know that does not help any. What could be the causes of this? During the day some pain, not bad.
According to your symptoms and findings there is osteoarthritis of your knee. . Continue medication prescribed to you. You can start cartilage protecting medication like chondritin sulphate, that you need to take for couple of months.
If required MRI knee can be done and if there is severe destruction of menisci then arthroscopic shaving can be done.
