What Causes Pain In Right Nostril And Swelling Of Nasal Septum?

The inside of my right nostral hurts. At some times it hurts to the touch and at other times i have to press on it pretty hard for it to hurt. Also the wall that seperates the nostrals is a little swollen on the right side...i can still breathe in and out of my right nostral but not as easy as my left. I also have headaches quite a bit...and sometimes when i stand up i get light headed. I am tired quite often and usually sleep around 9-10 hours a night. What could be the problem?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to a local infection in the nose. For this reason, I recommend consulting with an ENT specialist for a physical exam. Regarding your tiredness, I would recommend performing a polysomnogram, in order to exclude possible sleep apnea.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
