Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband, 57, having pain in every spot he has had surgery, gradually getting worse over last 3 days,shoulder/neck, knees, back, had kidney stone but passed it on Sunday. Has had mitral valve replacement and has pacemaker, saw cardiologist just last week before onset of symptoms and everything was fine, no fever. Any ideas?
Hello, I have studied your case. This type of pain is suggestive of calcium and B-12 deficiency. I would recommend you to get his following tests. 1.Serum B 12 estimation 2.Vitamin D 3 and Calcium If there is any deficiency than he will need vitamin D-3 and calcium supplementation for three months. Also he will need tablet Methylcobal. I would also recommend you to show him to cardiologist because some time it can be a drug reaction also. I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
