What Causes Pain In Shoulders Inspite Of Treatment For Inflammation Of Tendons?

I have had pain in my left shoulder for about 6 months. Had an cat scan which revealed inflammation of tendons. Have taken ibuprofen 800, BID for 3 weeks and Soma BID but still have pain. Also feel grating in shoulder upon movement . Any other suggestions?

After going through your query I concluded that you are having tendinitis of the shoulder joint. It's treatment is rest to joint and analgesic. Sometimes it doesn't respond to this treatment also in that case I treat patients coming to my clinic by local triamcilone injection along with rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen.
