My husbands urologist said he believes my hubby has this epidemedis. His left testicle went from an all of a sudden dull ache to pain and now in his lower back as well. Just trying to find out as much as possible on cause and want diagnosis to be accurate. he is 55.
Hi. Thanks for the query. I believe your husband is diagnosed with epididymitis which is an inflammation of the epididymis. It is usually associated with back pain too. The standard treatment is antibiotics. If it does not subside with a course of antibiotics, its good to get an ultrasound of the scrotum done to rule out any other cause.
