hi i recently had pharyngitus which caused serious coughing since the pharyngitus has gone i was left with a ache in my left testicle which comes and goes frequantly could this be a hernia as there is no exterior signs there was no pain previous to the coughing and since the pharyngitis the pain is on and off in the left testicle and lower abb area
Hello Thanks for query .Based on the facts that you have posted you had cough due to pharyngitis very recently which got resolved with treatment .
You have been getting pain in your left testicle and have doubt about yo having Inguinal Hernia .
The pain in testicle could be due to infection of the testis (Orchitis) .
You need to consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical examination and get following basic test done to establish diagnosis. 1) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis 2) Ultrasound Scanning of scrotum.
In the mean while start taking antibiotics like Augmentin and anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily .
Further treatment as regards presence of Hernia will depend upon clinical finding supported by radiological findings .
