lately, i experience chest pains (heart area) and shortness of breath walking fast and carrying loads, my BP is normal but i have not seen my cardiologist yet...antacids lately relieves me of some heartburn experience but how can i distinguish this from heart disease? is shortness of breathe associated with heartburn or dyspepsia?
Hello I want to tell you that shortness of breath don't relate with dyspepsia or heart burn . But the symptoms which you mentioned is that you feel pain and shortness of breath when walking fast and carrying some weight i.e all these symptoms due to exertion . Pain and shortness in breath is due to hard labour or exertion and these symptoms may be due to . 1 Angina pectoris as this is a precursor of coronary artery disease . So please get in E K G and Echo of heart . Certain precaution is to be taken in this type of patient . Don't carry load and take rest after meal . 2 The next reason of such type of symptoms may be due to asthma ( bronchial or cardiac asthma ) . Consult a physician and get his opinion. 3 Hyper acidity may be the nest cause but this is not a probable cause in your case. I recommend you visit a cardiologist and get his opinion. Good luck.
