What Causes Pain In The Finger?

I have pain in my middle finger on both hands. One is so bad I can’t bend it. There is also a tenderness on my palm just at the base of the finger. I know I didn’t sprain either finger I am also breaking out in hives different spots on my body. Not sure if it’s all related but something is going on. Any ideas?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This condition might be a trigger finger both hands. Start pain killers, hot fomentation and local analgesic cream. If no relief in 2-3 weeks then go for local steroid injections. Last treatment would be surgery.

Thanks.
