What Causes Pain In The Foot Of Child Even After The Splint Being Removed?

Hello, my 12 year old daughter broke her 5th metatarsal on her right foot on July 11, a splint was placed for two weeks I took her back for a follow up no x rays were taken, the splint was removed, and she has an ace bandaged on for another two weeks, now she is complaining about pain, is this normal?

Hi...when there is a fracture the bone will take some time to bear the weight again. This can take sometime up to 6 weeks also. But when the incident has happened in July I do not think it is related. I suggest you get back to the orthopedic surgeon for evaluation.
