What Causes Pain In The Groin And Tightness In The Scrotum?
Hello, I had total knee joint replacement for my right knee on 12-27-2016. Following the surgery I was started with OT/PT in house and approx. 2 weeks in a old folks home . I am almost 70 yoa. I worked very hard and was sent home about 1 to 2 weeks earlier. Towards the end I started feeling a dull ache in the inside area area of the right side of my groin. As of this last week I feel as if there is a pressure or tightness in my scrotum. I wonder if I need to follow up with my PCP or just wait more healing? Before you answer pls tell me what you charge for your answers, as I was unaware of the cost prior to typing this.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns. I hope I have answered your query. Your symptoms sound to me like possible sign of inguinal or scrotal hernia and this is common cause of such sensation. Other include epididimitis or STD. You should do groin ultrasound for a start and check your urine and std testing. I dont thing that this is related to your previous knee surgery since this is other body area and there are no some structures which could have been injured during the procedure. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
