What Causes Pain In The Head While Turning To The Right Side?

I have a pain in my head when I turn it to the right, and sometimes when I tilt it back. Sometimes it also causes headache. I went to the doctor and he said sinus infection and gave me antibiotics, but they have made no difference. Pain is still there.

Hello,

A headache triggered by head movement is likely to be due to sinus infection as your doctor suggested.

If the symptoms are persisting even after antibiotic intake, then bacterial resistance has to be considered. Please be advised to follow up with your treating physician to switch to another antibiotic.

You can also take Tylenol for pain. Apply saline nasal drops and steam inhalation if nasal congestion is present.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
