What Causes Pain In The Labia Majora Of A 13 Year Old Female?
My Daughter has been having some issues for the past 2 days. Her urine is a medium yellow color and she is having some pain too. She is NOT Sexually active and is 13 years of age. She said that her inner right lip of her Vagina has been hurting for the past 2 days. It only hurts when she wipes after using the restroom or showering but it is a bit pink and slightly swollen. What could this be? She has not used any new soap products nor bought any new under garments. Please let me know what your thought are.
Hello, Thanks for letting us know your health concern. In the current scenario, it is more likely that your daughter is experiencing some urinary tract infection and consequent vaginal/vulval involvement. Rough cleaning of the delicate genital area should also be considered as a cause. I would suggest a urinalysis and a local examination by the health care provider to plan further management. Mild antiseptic solutions may be used to clean the genital region. Avoid strong soap solutions as they act as irritants. Hope this helps.
