What Causes Pain In The Left Chest?

My three year old just started saying his side hurt really bad. He indicates that the pain is on his left side just below his ribs. He is unable to lie on his left side. He is lying in the floor now on his right side and occasionally cries out "OW!"

If the pain is significant go for chest x Ray. It may associated with early pleuritis. If any pathology will be there then treat accordingly. For pain u can give combiflam.
