What Causes Pain In The Lower Back And Frequent Urination?

76 year old male with history of kidney stones having low back pain. is up frequently to urinate but he also has BPH. Urine is cloudy, running a low grade temp of 99.4 {temp was taken this morning}. Doesn t seem to be flank pain but this is how it started last time. At that time he was taken by ambulance to Greeley, Co from Sterling, Co. with the plan of having emergency surgery. the procedure didn t happen for 12 hours though, so he is a bit wary of going in to get checked.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First at all, I will suggest a urinary analysis for possible urinary infection. It is important to make this as a first step because urinary infection is common in this patient.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Elona Dashi
