What Causes Pain In The Occipital Area?

evry morning for the last week i have awoke with a horible nauseating head ache. i feel off balance and and light sensative. the main area of pain is in the occipital area in the back off my head. It improoves slightly with tylenal but does not go away i have had it for about a week now it is worst in the m0orning and late evening. what could the cause be

The commonest cause of occipital pain is rise in the blood pressure and typically in the morning and the evening. Since you have not mentioned your age, its hard to say if that is the case. But if you experience such headaches quite frequently, I would advice you to monitor your blood pressure whenever you have symptoms.
