Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Pubic Bone After An Injury?
I fell at high speeds on skates. I was coming in quickly for a knee stop and misjudged my landing. I fell directly on the wheels of my skate in my crotch. There was major bruising, but then when that went away, I am still having pain in my pubic bone. This happened 2 weeks ago.
As I see this could be deep bony hurt and will take some time to heal. For a safety case its always good to take an x-ray and avoid any worries. As x-ray can give a clear picture and clear our doubts completely.
For now. you can do hot water fermentation and allow some rest to happen. If x-ray revealed no hair lime fracture then rest assured you should be fine over 2-3 weeks of time altogether.
In my clinical practice of 12 years, most cases give post injury complains and this is most common. But we do rule out with x-ray as we don't want to take a chance of the fracture. Once x-ray is cleared with conservative management things go fine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
