What Causes Pain In The Tongue And The Upper Nasal Cavity?
I am catching a cold, not full blown yet, but I find my tongue is painful when I swallow as if it's swollen? It's not my tonsils. I feel the pain between my ears so I think it's the corners of my tongue. Also I feel the upper nasel cavity is painful when I also swollen.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in tongue and upper nasal cavity which seems to be due to dryness of sinuses. Need not to worry. It occurs because of irritation of air through sinuses. I would suggest you to take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation as well. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication such as Sinarest . Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray done and start treatment after proper prescription. Drink plenty of water to rehydrate yourself.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
