Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This sounds alot like gallstones. Gallstone colics are often located just beneath the rib cage on the right side. Pain is often intermittent, and radiating to the back. It is however important to keep differential diagnoses in mind, e.g. pneumonia or a heart condition. I recommend you see a doctor. An ultrasound of your abdomen will reveal any gallstones.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
