What Causes Pain In Upper Abdomen Which Worsens After Eating?

I have had pain in my upper abdomen for about a week now. It has gotten a lot worse over the past two days. It seems to get worse after I eat and when I move around. There haven't been any changes in my diet or routine. No one else in my family is sick. Any suggestions?

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Upper abdominal pain that worsen after eating can be due to causes like Acid reflux, gastritis, Gastroparesis or delayed emptying of stomach, peptic Ulcers, Crohn's disease, indigestion, constipation etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and he can advise you investigations like Upper G.I Endoscopy, Barium swallow, stool test, blood test etc to rule out the exact cause of pain so that treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to take Proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole, antacids, H2 blockers like Ranitidine, anti-inflammatory medicines, and anti spasmodics..
Dietary modifications like taking small portions of food every 2 hours and taking dinner 2 hours before sleeping can help..
You should also avoid heavy and spicy meals.
Drink warm water, do moderate workout ..
Take a short walk after meals and also take a soft diet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
