What Causes Pain In Upper Abdomen With Brownish Bowels?

A few weeks ago I noticed a marked change in my bowel movement. It has become very light brown, softer than previous, and after a minute or so there is a dark orange sediment or reside underneath it in the bottom of the bowl. I also have a nagging pain in my upper right abdomen and a "fullness" about 6" to the right of my navel. Sometimes I have a slight kidney pain on the right side as well.
