I have had pain in the upper right quadrant for about five months. Always there, gets worse with food or liquid. Stopped eating food about 16 weeks ago. Lost 37 pounds. Only sludge found in gallbladder. What could be the problem? Surgeon says something more than just gallbladder since symptoms not classic.
Hi. The pain in the abdomen which worsens on eating or drinking is due to stomach ulcer, cancer. duodenal ulcer or obstruction at the outlet of the stomach into the duodenum. Upper GI Endoscopy should help you to get a proper diagnosis. You may need a dilatation or the stricture or a formal surgery to correct this problem.
