What Causes Pain In Urethra While Passing Urine?

I was sitting on the toilet this morning and my penis was bent down against the toilet seat. As I loosed my bowels and simultaneously began to urinate I had a sharp pain in the helmet of my penis. I slightly jumped and readjusted but at that moment blood joined the flow of urine. I had already urinated twice before this event since waking without incident. There was intense pain just inside the opening of the urethra about 1cm inside and then the stream stopped. I next urinated some four hours later and there was again sharp pain in the helmet at the opening to the urethra. No blood. Have I burst a small capillary near the opening of the urethra? The blood definitely didn t come out with the urine from my bladder. It was from just inside the glans at the opening of the urethra. I am in no discomfort or pain at any other time. Only as the urine passes through the opening of the urethra. What do you think?

Thanks for query .Based on the facts that you have posted the bleeding while passing urine is due to trivial injury to terminal part of urethra that you have sustained due to your gland penis being trapped against the commode

Take antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin and anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily for a week .

There is nothing to be worried about .It will heal up within a week .

Ensure to drink more water .
