What Causes Pain/irritation/swelling In Eyes?

I've had pain and irritation in my eyes for about a week. In the last 3 days, the outer lids to my eyes have been swelling up some. I haven't been wearing contacts or makeup during this time, but it's continuing to irritate and swell. Where the swelling had gone down, the skin is peeling. Any ideas?

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having pain, irritation and swelling of the eyelids.
This can be because of inflammatory conditions of the eyes like blrpharitis.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs.
The use of contact lenses should be avoided till the inflammation resolves.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you
