What Causes Pain On Back Upper Side After Vitrectomy Surgery?

This is about the vitrectomy surgery that I gone through on 4/30/15... There was macula pucker membrane that was removed. I worked as a Housekeeper ...I m worried if it s okay for me to go back to work now...and do my normal duties as one. Along with question to you doc ....just this Sunday I got scared when after choking while eating cereal with apples and milk at breakfast I felt felt pain on my back left side then afterwards the pain was just on the mid left upper ....on my ribs....the whole night of Sunday ....even Monday......whether I pass gas or not I felt the pain on and off ....today Tuesday....it got better ...just a little pain ...but I m worried ...that s why I m reading few articles that would help me a bit what s going on to my organs....thank you Doc ...God bless ...Susana

In my opinion you are anxious about your condition which is leading to this constellation of symptoms. Never the less it's important to rule out any problem by visiting Your nearest or your regular ophthalmologist. It is my advice to get a follow up with your operating surgeon or an equally competent one.
