What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Rib Cage?

Hello Doctor Andrew Rynne. My husband has been experiencing pain in his right side under his rib cage, and he went to the emergency room with it on sunday. they diagnosed it as pancreatitis and offered no treatment for it. he is still in quite a bit of pain. could he possibly have something wrong with his gall bladder?

Good morning
I am sorry to hear about his illness
I strongly suspect stones in his gallbladder which can cause pancreatitis also and pain under his right rib cage
The doctor who had done ultrasound scan for him would have definetely commented on this issue please check or else I suggest a repeat scan for him
Hope this will answer your question
I would like to hear from you in case of any future queries
Wish him a speedy recovery
I find this answer helpful
