What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Upper Stomach When Swallowing, Eating?
Its been two weeks since I have eaten anything. I try to nibble here and there but as soon as I swollow any thing I am in sudden pain on the right side of my upper stomach. I'm so week and tired from not eating and that's the only time I hurt is when I do try to eat and I can not get past two bits for the pain. What could it possibly be and what can I do ?for I am with out health insurance. Help please.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history Of having severe pain on the right side of upper abdomen when swallowing - the pain is sudden, making you weak and tired, not eating anything - wants to know the reasons. The most probable reason looks to be : Severe lower esophagitis may be secondary to hiatus hernia or reflux. Upper GI endoscopy. Barium swallow and manometry tests will give an added information. I would advise you the following: Get the upper GI endoscopy.CT scan of the chest to rule out any other pathology. PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone. Antacid every three hourly. Get an opinion of a Gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis and proper treatment.
