What Causes Pain On Side Of One Nostril?

Hello, I am contacting you regarding my nose and sinuses. When I press down on the skin beside my right nostril pain can be felt. This does not happen on the other side. I also have noticed on the same side a change in my nose, when I inhale on that same side my nose moves in alot more than the other and that was not the case before. I many times have the feeling to crack my nose because of pressure felt on the side... Should I this verified?

Hello there,
Thanks for your query,
After reading your problem, I would like to clarify few things.
What is the duration of these symptoms?
Do you have the habit of nose pricking?
Do you live in a dry or dusty area?
Do you use regular air conditioning?

These questions are required to answer you better.
You are suffering from a condition called as nasal vestibulitis.
It is caused by dryness of the skin and/or infection of the skin of the nostril.
To start nasal saline irrigation twice daily and after that Local antibiotic creams such as bactroban cream to be used twice daily for 5 days .
