Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I feel pain in/on my left carotid artery. It has lasted for 3 days now and about an half inch long. Feels like a dull tooth ache. I have an appointment with my Dr. next week. It is hard to pinpoint the pain, but it is all I can think of....worried. Should I see someone sooner (everyone is booked).

What Causes Pain On The Left Carotid Artery?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic It may be difficult to localize as originating from the carotid artery. It is not common to have pain from these blood vessels. If you are noting pain in the left side of your neck, it may be from any structure on that side of the neck from the skin inwards. This means it can originate from the muscles and other soft tissue in the neck as well. You should consider the use of pain killers to see if it helps to relieve your pain. I hope this helps
