Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My foot randomly started hurting at my cross country practice. It's on the top of my foot and near my teos. It hurts when my foot bends and it's tender to touch. It usually only hurts when I'm playing basketball/running or walking for a long time. It also aches after for a while but after a while it stops hurting until I run again. Also I was running again and it was aching and I jumped over a root but I landed wrong and twisted my ankle so the pain got worse. The thing is, I never hurt my foot when it started to ache. It feels kinda like a headache in my foot. Oh I also tried icing it and it really helped. Could Someone give my advice on what to do and what's wrong with my foot?!
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you are having stress fracture of metatarsal of foot. Treatment of it is rest to foot. You should avoid walking for few weeks. Analgesia such as ibuprofen is helpful in pain relief. Pain will not occur when after fracture healing which takes nearly 2 months. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
