What Causes Pain Radiating From Neck Region To Legs?

Hi my name is Dakota and I have a question, My girlfriend has been having some really bad pain from her neck down to her lower leg on her right side, this has been going on for about three days now. She works as a CNA in a old people home (sorry don t know the term) and I just need to know whats going on or if I can handle this from home.

Due to this there can be persistent pain and discomfort.
