What Causes Pain & Tightness In The Chest With Difficulty In Breathing?
I have been so busy caring for my sick dog that I ignored the tight pain in my chest all week and now am finding my breathing laboured, I had a head cold 2 weeks ago and this is the outcome. Used my nieces easi breathe last night and this morn but not sure if its working as I taste or feel nothing coming from it. I would lovee to avoid antibiotics and have been using oregano oil which I feel is breaking it up a bit, anything eles I can do ?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Possibility of post infectious bronchitis is more likely. Bronchitis (inflammation of airways) is common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) like common cold. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 1-2 weeks. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
