What Causes Pain Under Breast With History Of Open Heart Surgery?

I am experiencing a sharp pain right under my left breast. It travels to the back and is very painful. Just a few weeks ago I had a chemical stress test and a 24 hr heart monitor on and both test came back negative. I had open heart surgery November 2003. I am 66 year old female.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
I understand your concern.
Since Stress test and holter monitoring are negative, the pain is unlikely to be from the heart.
The pain is typically radicular from the thoracic spine. It is usually due to the degenerated disc pressing on the anterior root of the thoracic nerve(s).
MRI examination of the thoracic spine would be diagnostic
Take Care
