What Causes Pain Under Knee Cap?
My 11 year old son is complaining of pain under his knee cap, on one leg, when he straightens his leg or puts pressure on it. The pain comes and goes but when it is bothering him he acts like he can t walk on it at all and the pain is intense. It has been going on for several weeks now and I m not sure if he is going through a growth spurt or it is something I need to get checked out.

It can be due to some injury during playing or other activity.
Try hot compression with salt water 2-3 times a day for one week.
Its really a good method for mild injury.
If problem persist i would advice you to visit a doctor.
