What Causes Pain While Blowing Nose Along With Sore Throat?
I have a sore throat and blocked nose at the moment. When i blow my nose I get a sharp pain at the back of my head..when i breathed in through my nose i got a really sharp pain that lasted for the length of the breath and for a few seconds after. What should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain while blowing nose along with sore throat which is due to bacterial infection leading to sinusitis and Eustachian tube dysfunction. I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene. You should take Diphenhydramine and Dextromethorphan for 4-5 days. Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take you take nasal decongestant sprays, antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present.Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozanges one every 4 hours is helpful. Drink luke warm water throughout the day as it can provide relief.
