What Causes Pain While Breathing And Black Stool After Surgery For Appendix?
My 55 year old husband had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix about 3 weeks ago. He was in the hospital for a week because his intestines were not working. He was fine after that. This last week he has had slight pain when taking a deep breath and has very black stools. Should he see his doctor?
Hello Welcome to the website for query of your husband.
* As per my surgical experience, the black stools indicate underlying intestine bleeding, side effect of some drugs or others.
* I recommend to immediately call his surgeon for further guidelines without any delay.
Wish him fine recovery.
