What Causes Pain While Swallowing?

Hi I have pain on the left side of my adams apple when swallowing. I ve had mild discomfort there for a few days but yesterday it suddenly got much worse whilst eating. Now it hurts on the left side of my adams apple when I swallow - particularly painful whilst swallowing food.

could be due to infection. needs laryngoscopy to see the lesion at the level of Adam's apple.
