What Causes Pain While Urinating With Back Pain?

I am 50 year old female, overweight and have been having problems with painful urination occasionally, feeling like I cannot empty my bladder completely and the urgency is more and then other times it is fine. I do have back pain but I do not know if it is associated with this problem or the fact that I have back pain due to a fractured back three years ago.

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello, thanks for writing in.
After reading through your post, I would consider two possibilities- urinary tract calculus or infection.
I would suggest you get a urine routine/culture test, routine blood test, sugar levels and an ultrasound (Kidney, Ureter, Bladder).
The back pain can be related to your current problem.
But I would like to also consider if you have had a MRI in the recent past which showed any significant abnormalities.
You must consult a Urologist at the earliest, who can start appropriate medicines.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care.
