What Causes Pain While Urinating?

I have been experiencing pain while urinating for the past week, the pain only starts when my bladder is nearly empty. I have also found that I need to urinate more often and I have even been waking up through the night to urinate. Do you have any idea what it could be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Scalding pain during urination suggestive of urinary tract infection. Bladder infection and prostatitis has to be rule out here. For that following investigation done per rectal prostate palpation, urine routine microscopic examination, urine culture, USG scan to check bladder and prostate status. According to report further management plan decided, Antibiotic as per culture report given if infection present. Consult urologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
From your history it appears to be infection of urethra and urinary bladder but a stone in the bladder can cause similar symptoms.I would suggest you to get a urine examination and USG urogenital tract done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
