What Causes Painful And Large Lump On Back?

Have had a lump on my back for a number of years. I have had it checked and asked about it multiple times and been told it s nothing, and to have it removed would be considered cosmetic. In the past month it s gotten much larger, hard and painful. Tonight it actually opened and it was filled with pus. It s very sore. Any ideas? Could this be cancerous?

Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Pus filled lump may be abscess formation. Or some benign tumour with acute inflammation. You should go for drainage of pus. Go for cytology of pus and culture and sensitivity of pus. Then take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
