What Causes Painful And Raised Heart Beats?

My wife and I were having sex the other night, I was on my right side and my heart was beating very fast and strong and for about 10 or 15 beats, it hurt with each beat, I stopped having sex and relaxed for a time and it went away but my chest hurt for about an hour. I am 55 with high cholesterol and triglycerides. Is this a warning sign? Do I already have a blockage in a coronary artery? I am an auto mechanic/business owner and I work hard every day and I don't have a problem, it was only the one time.
