What Causes Painful And Swollen Red Line Along The Length Of Butt Crack?

I have a swollen red color line, that goes completely up my whole butt crack, sometimes it gets so bad it gets purple in color, it hurts to sit down or anything, feels like my butt is ripping or tearing apart in my crack, sometimes the skin will even peel off in it after swelling, the only relief I get is to keep Vaseline on it and it only gives me some relieif. This comes and goes, only in my crack, no where else, what could it be?

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
You might have developed a mixed fungal and bacterial infection.
Please get a KOH mount done,
This can confirm the fungal etiology.
Also get a gram stain for finding out the bacterial etiology.
Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals along with antibiotics.
you can also take an anti inflammatory tablet for the pain.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
