Hi! I have this red extremely painful bump on the back of my thigh. I tried popping it but the only thing that comes out is a clear liquid sometimes tinted with blood! It s been there about three days and is quite large and I can barely walk because of it! What is it and what can i do?
According to your complaints it seems to be furuncle which is bacterial infection of the hair follicle. You need to take oral and topical antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines. I would recommend you to take capsule cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5-7 days and apply neosporin ointment or mupirocin cream on the affected area twice daily for 7-10 days. Also take tablet ibuprofen. Regards
