What Causes Painful Burning Sensation During Intercourse While Treating Yeast Infection?

Hi, I started having yeast infection like symptoms. I had my period so i waited to do treatment until after my period, however i forgot about my issue and the day after my period ended i tried to have sex with my partner but a terrible pain occurred and i started bleeding. I then started yeast infection treatment immediately and i thought every thing was better until i attempted to have sex again yesterday and the burning pain and bleeding occurred again. What is happening to me?

Hi,

I understand your concern.

The horrible pain with burning sensation during intercourse are suggestive of vaginal infection. You've been treated ambulatory for yeast infection but the pain is the same.

At this point, I highly recommend to consult with gynecologist and run vaginal swab testing and transvaginal ultrasound to determine the right diagnosis.

Keep good genital hygiene. Avoid sexual intercourse until betterment.

Wish fast recovery.
